The South Eastern Counties Roller Hockey Association recently held its annual Cup Finals night, featuring several exciting games showcasing the talents of different age groups.
Game 1: U17s - Herne Bay RHC vs. Farnham In the first game, Herne Bay RHC demonstrated their well-drilled skills, overpowering Farnham with a convincing 15-1 victory. Farnham fought valiantly, but Herne Bay's expertise proved too much to handle.
Game 2: U13s - Farnham vs. Herne Bay United The U13s match between Farnham and Herne Bay United was a thrilling contest. Farnham capitalized on their chances in front of goal, securing a 5-0 win against their opponents, HBU.
Game 3: Seniors - RHC Invicta vs. Herne Bay The seniors' game, a local derby, began with tension in the air. Herne Bay struck first through Callum Reade-Jones, and Herbie Hudson extended their lead to 2-0 just before halftime. However, RHC Invicta quickly responded with a goal from Dan Butcher. In the second half, both teams battled to break each other down, and with one minute left, Invicta equalized with Butcher's second goal. Ultimately, Invicta emerged victorious, with Lewis Greenwood scoring the winning penalty.
Game 4: U15s - Maidstone RHC vs. RHC Invicta The U15s match between Maidstone RHC and RHC Invicta was a closely contested encounter. The game reached a deadlock, leading to a penalty shootout, where Maidstone managed to score the crucial goal, securing the cup for their team.
Last Game: U20s - Herne Bay United vs. Herne Bay, HBU In the final match of the night, the U20s contest featured a well-drilled Herne Bay United team that dominated the game, securing a commanding 5-1 victory and claiming the U20s cup.
